SESSION 19
a)
BMP
It has been widely used because it was developed for Windows applications. The image is formed by a grid of pixels. The BMP format does not suffer loss of quality and is therefore suitable for storing images that are to be manipulated later. Advantage: Saves a lot of information from the image.

GIF
It has been specifically designed to compress digital images.
Reduce the color palette to 256 colors at the most (8-bit color depth).
It supports smaller number of colors and this allows optimizing the size of the file containing the image.
Advantage: It is an ideal format for publishing drawings on the web.
Disadvantage: Not recommended for photographs of certain quality or original because the actual or true color uses a palette of more than 256 colors.
JPG-JPEG
Nearly every digital camera can save images in the JPEG/JFIF format, which supports eight-bit grayscale images and 24-bit color images. JPEG applies lossy compression to images, which can result in a significant reduction of the file size. Applications can determine the degree of compression to apply, and the amount of compression affects the visual quality of the result.
TIFF
The TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) format is a flexible format that normally saves eight bits or sixteen bits per color (red, green, blue) for 24-bit and 48-bit totals, respectively, usually using either the TIFF or TIF filename extension. The tagged structure was designed to be easily extendible, and many vendors have introduced proprietary special-purpose tags – with the result that no one reader handles every flavor of TIFF file
PNG
The PNG (Portable Network Graphics) file format was created as a free, open-source alternative to GIF. The PNG file format supports eight-bit paletted images (with optional transparency for all palette colors) and 24-bit truecolor (16 million colors) or 48-bit truecolor with and without alpha channel - while GIF supports only 256 colors and a single transparent color.
Compared to JPEG, PNG excels when the image has large, uniformly colored areas. Even for photographs – where JPEG is often the choice for final distribution since its compression technique typically yields smaller file sizes – PNG is still well-suited to storing images during the editing process because of its lossless compression.
b) Which image format preserves the quality better when it is compressed?
The GIMP format
c) Which formats are more suitable for web design?
The JPEG, GIF and PNG formats

SESSION 13
1 What is a hacker?
Hackers are persons that enter in the people accounts and then they try to steal the information
2 What is a virus?
Virus also attack computers and and electronic programs. They cause problems like don't let to save the documents and they destroy information stored inside computers.
3 What is a router?
Routers move the information along internet by finding the shortes and fastest path to the destination computer
4 What can happen when packets of information are sent by Internet?
A hacker can steel or eliminate your information
HAITI
More than 1 billlion of people in the world hasn't got clean water. Reaserach shows that clean water allows residents. In poor villages to hold jobs, grow food...
They can spend money i other important things like medicine, food and education. Some 6000 childrens die every day from diseases they get from drinking dirty water.
With fewer streams carrying drinkable water many haitians dig and drill wells to acces spaces.
With the help of goverment and international aid people in Haiti will have access to clean water.
